Jesus said to his disciples: “Anyone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, amen, I say to you, will surely not lose his reward.

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were put around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than with two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled   than with two feet to be thrown into Gehenna. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into Gehenna, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.

“Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another.”

With what we do to our children today, pornography, transgender indoctrination and all the things we force our children into, what do you think God is thinking of us? What will God do to us? We allow it to happen, when will we change that?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me all the times I turned from your children and said nothing. In Jesus holy name, Amen.

Blessed are they who hope in the Lord.

John said to Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name, and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow us.” Jesus replied, “Do not prevent him. There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me. For whoever is not against us is for us.”

You cannot claim to follow Christ and speak of Him as the world does. You cannot deny His teachings and say that you follow Him. Evil cannot be done in the name of God and expect to be believed. Only when you speak His truth and love, do you show you are a follower of His.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I learned my lesson! I deny the world and their words of you, because only you have the truth of eternal life!

O Lord, great peace have they who love your law.

Jesus and his disciples left from there and began a journey through Galilee, but he did not wish anyone to know about it. He was teaching his disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be handed over to men and they will kill him, and three days after his death the Son of Man will rise.” But they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to question him.

They came to Capernaum and, once inside the house, he began to ask them, “What were you arguing about on the way?” But they remained silent. For they had been discussing among themselves on the way who was the greatest.

Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” Taking a child, he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it, he said to them, “Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me.”

And how are we treating the little ones of God today? Are we putting them first, loving them and placing them at the feet of Jesus? Seems we are rushing to kill our children, offering them on the altar of greed and sin. A child is not a “choice”! A child is a gift from God given to us in love. Why is the world so intent on rejecting that gift?

Prayer: Heavenly Father I pray that our world starts to see your children as the gift they are and praise you for the gift of their life. I praise you for what you have done in my life. When I sin, you forgive me, and I pray all will see you for the gracious Father that you are! Amen.

Commit your life to the Lord, and he will help you.

As Jesus came down from the mountain with Peter, James, John and approached the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and scribes arguing with them. Immediately on seeing him, the whole crowd was utterly amazed. They ran up to him and greeted him.  He asked them, “What are you arguing about with them?” Someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I have brought to you my son possessed by a mute spirit. Wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive it out, but they were unable to do so.” He said to them in reply, “O faithless generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him to me.” They brought the boy to him. And when he saw him, the spirit immediately threw the boy into convulsions. As he fell to the ground, he began to roll around    and foam at the mouth.  Then he questioned his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”  He replied, “Since childhood. It has often thrown him into fire and into water to kill him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “‘If you can!’ Everything is possible to one who has faith.” Then the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe, help my unbelief!” Jesus, on seeing a crowd rapidly gathering, rebuked the unclean spirit and said to it, “Mute and deaf spirit, I command you: come out of him and never enter him again!” Shouting and throwing the boy into convulsions, it came out. He became like a corpse, which caused many to say, “He is dead!” But Jesus took him by the hand, raised him, and he stood up. When he entered the house, his disciples asked him in private, “Why could we not drive the spirit out?” He said to them, “This kind can only come out through prayer.”

Some evil is so entrenched it takes lots of prayer, faith and intercession to set its victim free. It takes a strong faith to be able to exorcise this type of evil and sometimes fasting along with prayer. The disciples did not have the faith necessary to drive out this demon. Do you? Do you believe in the power of Jesus to drive away evil and demons? He does and He can! Just believe.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, you have driven many demons from my life. Praise to you and thanksgiving forever for what you have done in my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.

Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no fuller on earth could bleach them. Then Elijah appeared to them along with Moses, and they were conversing with Jesus. Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here! Let us make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”  He hardly knew what to say, they were so terrified. Then a cloud came, casting a shadow over them; then from the cloud came a voice, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.” Suddenly, looking around, the disciples no longer saw anyone but Jesus alone with them.

As they were coming down from the mountain, he charged them not to relate what they had seen to anyone, except when the Son of Man had risen from the dead. So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what rising from the dead meant. Then they asked him, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” He told them, “Elijah will indeed come first and restore all things, yet how is it written regarding the Son of Man that he must suffer greatly and be treated with contempt? But I tell you that Elijah has come and they did to him whatever they pleased, as it is written of him.”

The dazzling light of truth shone upon all three so that the disciples were blinded. When we come home to the truth about God and all that He has for us we too are blinded by the truth. When we live in darkness, we cannot see the truth of what Jesus teaches. Are you willing to be blinded by the truth of Jesus or do you want to continue to live in the darkness of sin?

Prayer: Heavenly Father I praise you that I have seen that light of your truth. I pray for those who are still blind to your blessings. In Jesus’ holy name Amen!

I will praise your name forever, Lord.

Jesus said to his disciples: “To you who hear I say, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. To the person who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other one as well, and from the person who takes your cloak, do not withhold even your tunic. Give to everyone who asks of you, and from the one who takes what is yours do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same. If you lend money to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, and get back the same amount. But rather, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend expecting nothing back; then your reward will be great and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give, and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”

Be revolutionary, brave and counter-cultural – treat people with respect, love, joy. Treat them as you want to be treated. Show them that you appreciate them for who they are, not what they can do for you! Do not be like most of the world who hates, criticizes and downgrades. Be Christ to them and see how your life and theirs changes.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, since treating people as you do, for loving them as you do, I find more happiness and joy than I have ever known. In Jesus’ holy name, I give you the praise and glory for that change, Amen!

The Lord is kind and merciful.

When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Jesus built His church upon the rock of Peter, He gave him the keys to the Kingdom and the authority to bind and loose us from our sins. He gave us a system of beliefs and a church to maintain it. He gave us the Catholic Church and Peter as the 1st Pope. Due diligence and research will prove it, if you are willing to open your eyes and ears to the truth. Are you willing?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of your Church. Because of what your Son did for me, my life has been fulfilling, meaningful and joyful since I came home. In Jesus’ holy name, I will always give you praise, Amen!

The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
