The apostles gathered together with Jesus and reported all they had done and taught. He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” People were coming and going in great numbers, and they had no opportunity even to eat. So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place. People saw them leaving and many came to know about it. They hastened there on foot from all the towns and arrived at the place before them.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.
After their ministry, they reported what they had done and taught then Jesus wanted them to go away by themselves. We must be willing like the apostles to tell all that we have seen and done, to speak of the Lord, his word, and the works done in His name! People are encouraged when we tell our story, when we tell what He has done! But it is important to go away in silence, prayer and solitude to recharge our batteries and be ready for another day. How are you doing on that?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, you have done marvelous deeds in my life and I do not hesitate to share your word and works with all in my life. In Jesus’ holy name, I give you praise, honor and glory, Amen!
The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
