Beloved: Bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God.
He saved us and called us to a holy life, not according to our works but according to his own design and the grace bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made manifest through the appearance of our savior Christ Jesus, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
We do not believe in suffering anymore. We think our live should be pain free and not have any suffering. If we do, we must be doing something wrong. But we have the Gospel promises that if we bear our hardship as Christ did, it will be redeeming. Suffering pain and sorrow unites us with Christ, it does not mean we are not faithful. Unite yourself with our Lord and offer your suffering up for those who need your strength.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I offer up the pain of my suffering and trials in life for those who cannot. For those who need your strength but do not know how to call on you. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Lord, let your mercy be on us, as we place our trust in you.
