The Pharisees came forward and began to argue with Jesus, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him. He sighed from the depth of his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Amen, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.” Then he left them, got into the boat again, and went off to the other shore.
Signs, we are always looking for signs. Why is it so hard to take Our Lord on faith? The faith that saves us does not need signs. The faith that comes from Our Lord does not need signs. It just requires trusting that God will do what He promises to do. He has never failed us, why do we keep failing Him?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I have failed you so often, but you are always there. I do not need signs, I just need you. With my faith strong, I see you everywhere and know the signs you leave us every single day. Thank you and I give you praise, in Jesus’ holy name, Amen!
Offer to God a sacrifice of praise.
