After making the crossing to the other side of the sea, Jesus and his disciples came to land at Gennesaret and tied up there. As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him. They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.
They had the faith to just touch the tassel of His cloak and be healed. They knew who Jesus was and they had faith in God and in Him. We have His body and blood to heal us. Do you believe in the power that the Eucharist has to heal you? If touching His cloak could heal someone, how much more powerful is His body and blood? Believe and be healed.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, the Eucharist has healed me many times. It is a comfort when I am down, it brings healing when I hurt and it always fills me with your love and joy. The joy of the Lord fills my soul. In Jesus’ holy name, I give you thanks, Amen.
May the Lord be glad in his works.
