As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
We still have not learned how to make peace. If we cannot learn how to become peaceful people war is inevitable. And when it comes, our enemies will raise their weapons against us and we will have no defense. We must teach Christ as the way to peace. We must learn about the peace of Christ and live it in all we do. The way to peace is only through Jesus and the word of God. Do you want peace or war? Jesus or unrest?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, your peace has brought me joy and happiness. I wish all would learn your word and live in your peace. They would discover, as I have, that it is the only way to live. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
The Lamb has made us a kingdom of priests to serve our God, Alleluia!
