Jesus said to his disciples: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. The Father will honor whoever serves me.”

The Lord plants seeds in all of us. Sometimes they lay dormant and when it is time for the fruit to blossom, the Lord calls us. It is up to us how we answer that call. Do you say yes or do you ignore the call? Saying yes is scary but you can trust that God will not call you without being there to help and guide you. Take a chance on God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the seed you planted and the courage for me to say yes. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

Blessed the man who is gracious and lends to those in need.
