Jesus entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary who sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.” The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.”
We have all had Mary and/or Martha days. Days when we are so busy we barely have time to pray. But when we have a calm day, are we like Mary? Ready and eager to spend time at the feet of Jesus? We need to have a balance in our lives, and it is so important that no matter how busy we are we spend time with Jesus. And when you have a Martha day be sure to spend extra time like Mary, at the feet of Jesus
Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank you for the time I get to spend at your feet in Adoration. A time to hear your voice. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen!
He who does justice will live in the presence of the Lord.
