Jesus saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him. Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were at table with them. The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus said to them in reply, “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.”
Do you think you have sinned so much that God cannot forgive you? He spent His time with sinners, He sought them out and He forgave them. There is nothing you have done that Our Lord will not forgive – BUT you must go to Him and ask for His forgiveness. When you do, if your heart is true, you will be forgiven. He is just waiting for you to come to Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for forgiving me for the wrongs I have done to you. When I falter, Lord, hold me up. When I fall, forgive me and help me up. In Jesus’ holy name, I pray AMEN!
Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth.
