Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick – no food, no sack, no money in their belts. They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic. He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there. Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.” So they went off and preached repentance. The Twelve drove out many demons, and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.
Now we are called to go out and spread the word of God, but we do not have to go as beggars. We are to go and tell our story, tell of the love and joy we have experienced from the Lord. And we are to tell of our healings. Spread the word of what the Lord has done for you. You may be surprised at who is healed by your word and testimony.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I have seen and experienced your healing at the hands of your current day disciples. I give you praise and honor and thank you for all you have done for me, in Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Lord, you are exalted over all.
