Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
It is hard to imagine that God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. And even though we betray that love constantly, He still loves us. The Disciples died for love of Jesus, but do we have the courage to do that? Many people through the centuries have died for Him and still do, but we have not been challenged in this country. Would you die for Christ? Do you have that much love for Him?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that I never forsake you and always have the courage to stand for you in truth and in love. Thank you for not forsaking me. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Lord, every nation on earth will adore you.
