Shout for joy, O daughter Zion! Sing joyfully, O Israel! Be glad and exult with all your heart, O daughter Jerusalem! The LORD has removed the judgment against you, he has turned away your enemies; The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst, you have no further misfortune to fear. On that day, it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not, O Zion, be not discouraged! The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a mighty savior; He will rejoice over you with gladness, and renew you in his love, He will sing joyfully because of you, as one sings at festivals.
The Prophet Zephaniah told of the coming of the Lord. He tells us we should sing joyfully and exult, but when you look around Church do you see the joy, the exultation? Or have we allowed our worries and problems to steal our joy? Have we pushed out our Lord and replaced Him with the things of the world? Renew your love in the Lord and restore His joy in your life. He banishes fear and only brings hope.
Prayer: The joy of the Lord is my strength. In Him I can do all things and I can do them joyfully, exalting in His love. I praise Him in the holy name of His Son, Jesus our Lord!
Exult, you just, in the Lord! Sing to him a new song.
