Jesus said to the crowds: “To what shall I compare this generation? It is like children who sit in marketplaces and call to one another, ‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance, we sang a dirge but you did not mourn.’ For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they said, ‘He is possessed by a demon.’
The Son of Man came eating and drinking and they said, ‘Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is vindicated by her works.”
It seems no matter what we Christians do, people put a label on us. When we are sober and honest we are called fools. When we drink and celebrate we are called liars. But the key is wisdom, when what we do is examined and found to be the works of the Lord, we are vindicated. When you do His work, do not worry about what people say, do what you know He wants you to do.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, may I always do your work and not worry about what others think, or say. You are all that matters in my life, thank you for being there for me. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life.
