Brothers and sisters: Every priest stands daily at his ministry, offering frequently those same sacrifices that can never take away sins. But this one offered one sacrifice for sins, and took his seat forever at the right hand of God; now he waits until his enemies are made his footstool. For by one offering he has made perfect forever those who are being consecrated.
Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer offering for sin.
Jesus died for us. He gave His life so we might live. He gave the power to forgive our sins to the Apostles, and it was handed down to our Priests today. Have you gone to confession lately? Have you taken advantage of the gift that was given to you by Christ’s death. Do not wait, all you will sacrifice is your sins.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of forgiveness. Confession is a healing sacrament that has saved my life. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
You are my inheritance, O Lord!
