Brothers and sisters: You are God’s building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must be careful how he builds upon it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely, Jesus Christ.
Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.
What shape is your temple in? Do you honor it and treat it like a gift from God? Or do you eat too much, not exercise and allow your body to be used for others pleasure? That is not honoring the gift God has given you. It is not too late, honor what you are given by God, treat it with the love and reverence it deserves. It IS the dwelling place of Our Lord.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am sorry for the years I have abused this body that you have given to me. I honor your gift by working now to restore it to your perfection. Help me Lord to keep on track and build a temple that is worthy of you. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
The waters of the river gladden the city of God, the holy dwelling of the Most High!
