Jesus went up to the mountain to pray, and he spent the night in prayer to God. When day came, he called his disciples to himself, and from them he chose Twelve, whom he also named Apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter, and his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called a Zealot, and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
Jesus always went alone and prayed before He made important decisions. When He chose the twelve, He knew He was choosing sinners, one who would betray Him. But He chose them anyway. He is the Savior of all, including sinners. He is your Savior, He brought salvation to all the world, have you accepted yours?
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for sending us your Son to save us from ourselves. I accept your salvation and I pray that all will accept the salvation you have brought us. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
Their message goes out through all the earth.
