The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy. For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit. The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are free to all who believe and speak the word of God. You are not restricted to one, the Lord will give you as many gifts as you are open to receive. Are you open to what the Lord has to give you? Do you want eternal life or death? God gave us all free will and it is our choice what to do with it. What have you chosen?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that whatever gifts you give to me I am ready and willing to receive. Eternal life with you is my desire and I pray I always choose wisely. In Jesus’ holy name I ask for your help, Amen.
The Lord hears the cry of the poor, Alleluia!
