As Jesus drew near Jerusalem, he saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If this day you only knew what makes for peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. For the days are coming upon you when your enemies will raise a palisade against you; they will encircle you and hem you in on all sides. They will smash you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave one stone upon another within you because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
Are these days coming for us? Every day we see new attacks on the Church and on the faithful, all over the world. Freedom of religion is being lost, being taken away by the enemy. Do you participate in this by doing nothing? Do you hide your faith, or worse yet, have no faith? We need to stand up before men for Christ. He is the true peacemaker. I wonder if He cries when He looks over our cities?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that I never back down from defending you. You are more important than the things of this world, help me to always remember this. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The Lamb has made us a kingdom of priests to serve our God, Alleluia.
