Jesus said to his disciples: “Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them. And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants.”
Are you prepared? Are you ready for the Lord’s return? We do not know when that will be, but He will come, and when He does, will you be ready? Will you know Him? Prepare yourself, confess your sins, receive His Sacraments, come home to His Church. He is waiting for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the graces that brought me home to you. May I always be worthy of you and show the world the treasures you have in store for those who come home. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
